Running Media formed as a company in 2004. Combining the already sucessful and well respected media outlets DAM Productions, Stereoscout Records and Miller Management, the idea behind the group has always been to provide a first class creative service to the industry.
Utilising the talents of Directors Bob Miller, Dave Armstrong and Christy DeHaven, the company are able to offer everything from artist management to album recording to music video/pop promo production - and the list goes on! |
|
The idea has already proved to be an extremely rewarding one - Bob has spent the past twelve months bringing the now triple-grammy nominated Corinne Bailey Rae into our musical consciousness, (who at the last count had sold more than 2.5million copies of her debut album...) while Dave and Christy have enjoyed critical production successes with feature length documentary "The Shore", pop promos for artists Twisted Angels, Anna Goldsmith and Jacoba, and are about to start recording with Christine Collister for her next album.
Our latest project - the supremely talented teen blues band 'Back Door Slam' - is a perfect example of what we do at Running Media: find a talent, develop the talent, record, produce, manage, film, promote etc etc...and now the boys have signed a three album international deal with indie American label Blix Street Records and are one of the hot tickets for this year's SxSw Festival in March. Keep an eye on Davy and the boys - they are sure to follow very quickly in CBR's surefooted steps!
The group are also involved with some great new projects like 'Making Trax' - an exciting new website designed to encourage teenagers to develop and share their creative and musical abilities. And Christy's 'other job' - as a freelance radio presenter with EnergyFM, where she features new music, independent artists and regular artist interviews - ensures that we have all bases well and truly covered!
